Drainage Engineer Profile
Role Purpose:
Undertake all assigned drainage work to the required job standards and the customer's reasonable expectations. Ensure that jobs are completed in line with Health & Safety policy guidelines at all times.
Key Accountabilities:
- Undertake all First Fix Drainage jobs as requested
- Fully explain to policyholders what work is required, whether reinstatement is covered and what will happen next for job closure
- Advise on the job outcome and any recommendations including necessary / required additional work after completion of each job
- Accurately, fully and legibly complete and return all documentation for each job
- Collect every excess (or any other payment due from the customer) upon completion of the work (where applicable)
- Undertake all work in accordance with company Health & Safety policy, including wearing the correct PPE at all times and reporting all accidents or near misses to the Line Manager
- Create and maintain a high level of customer service and portray a professional image of HomeServe to customers, insurance companies, colleagues and the general public at all times
- Ensure possession of all necessary goods, tools and equipment to complete all assigned work
- Maintain the company vehicle and all issued property and equipment in good condition
- Provide accurate mileage data for fuel expenses
- Contribute to a team spirit that is conducive to HomeServe and its customers
- Maintain van stock in line with company ordering and stock management procedure

Specialist / Background Knowledge
Essential
Previous experience working as a drainage engineer is required. You must be able to demonstrate this.
Desirable
Water Industry Approved high pressure jetting certificate or equivalent.
