Staff Testimonials
What our Staff Think
We asked some of our staff to tell us what they think of working here, and this is what they said:
Having spent the last 20-years of my career working for a number of FTSE100 Companies, I can testify to what dynamic feels like, or not as the case was in a few of them! Joining HomeServe was a huge change for me, not just because the environment within HomeServe is so fast moving but also because high performance was the norm within the Group.
Even before I joined HomeServe I recognised what differentiated them from the rest of the market: dynamic, visionary, exciting, committed, inspiring and hugely ambitious, and that was just Richard! But on my first day with the organisation, I was pleased to witness that, the high performance culture cascaded down the organisation. Ok, not everything was perfect but in every area of the business I could see huge amounts of ambition, direction and the desire to succeed.
Six-months into my new life in HomeServe and it is still an extremely exciting place to work. I am lucky, I get to do a job that I thoroughly enjoy and what's more, I get to do it in a top performing Company, who recognise, reward and breed high performers. HomeServe is at the leading edge of change, and ok, it's fast, frenetic and always demanding, but that's what separates the wheat from the chaff!

Before working for HomeServe I was a full time mum. A friend of mine who worked for HomeServe advised me of a family friendly package, which allows you to work around school hours and have 6 weeks holiday in the summer, which fits in great with the children. There are always fun incentives, theme days and team competitions to keep me motivated. The good atmosphere makes the job fun loving!

I started at HomeServe 6 years ago and was a little worried that I would not fit in due to my age, however the people at HomeServe are really friendly and made me feel part of their team. Although I didn't have any experience the training programme gave me all the knowledge I needed to become a top performer. I still enjoy working here and the benefits are really excellent.

I joined HomeServe when I was aged 20; I had just finished college and had no previous call centre or sales experience. HomeServe had a good coaching programme in place that gave me all the support I need to become a successful agent. I have now been with the company for 3 years and love it! The people are great and it's a real fun environment to work in.

I applied for a position at HomeServe because I was looking to work in a better environment. I was told that the outbound sales team would have all the necessary tools available to achieve sales.
After being an agent a HomeServe for two years, I became a coach and then progressed to team manager. In 2003 I represented outbound sales in the Telesales Professional of the Year category at the National Sales Awards. I have now been with the company for four years and like the feeling of security.
